The Hawthorns Golf & Country Club:
The Hawthorns Golf & Country Club is a premier, family-oriented, full-service private country club with an 18 hole Arthur Hills designed championship golf course, fitness center, six outdoor tennis courts, outdoor heated Jr. Olympic size swimming pool, state of the art indoor golf simulator, croquet, bocce ball, multiple dining outlets, private meeting rooms, and a full calendar of social activities. POSITION FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
As a member of the housekeeping team at The Hawthorns, job duties include, but not limited to:
- Daily up-keep and cleaning of the interior of the clubhouse including restaurants, ballrooms, locker rooms and bathrooms.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:
- Will walk/stand for long periods of time, possibly extended distances.
- Requires ability to perform a variety of manual labor tasks that will require some strenuous physical efforts, such as carrying, pushing, pulling, or occasionally moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent walking, standing, sitting and continuous repetitive motions.
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Must be effective in listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by members, guests, and team members.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work may be performed in an indoor or outdoor setting, depending on the outlet. Varied weather conditions are expected with exposure to heat/humidity, or cool/cold weather, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals (cleaning materials, etc.). Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, weekends, and extended hours as business dictates.
